Albert Hammond Jr – 'Como Te Lama' review
Albert Hammond’s second solo album confirms the suspicion raised on his first that he’s not breaking free of his day job with The Strokes out of a burning desire to broaden his musical palette. About half of ¿Cómo Te Llama? could have come fully formed from his parent band’s stable and is perfectly enjoyable, if a little cannibalistic, but the rest is a couple of spliffs worse for wear – sleepier, more drawn out and quite hit and miss. GFC is a lovely half-lullaby, but there are plenty of forgettable moments here too.
