Dirty Projectors live review
If there are any doubts as to whether Dirty Projectors could transport the spellbinding weirdness of their most recent record onto a small, decidedly unmagical stage in rainy north-east London, these are eliminated before the first song is out. Awkwardly tall and twitching uncontrollably, singer/guitarist David Longstreth goes on to lead his band with all the unpredictability and intensity that their recorded sound would suggest, singing as often like an angel as a throat cancer victim. Equally discordant and beautiful, and virtually indescribable, Dirty Projectors must be seen to be believed.
