Shitdisco – 'Kingdom Of Fear' review
While most so-called new rave has as much in common with the late-eighties field-in-Hampshire scene as Busted has with punk, Shitdisco’s pigeonholing seems vaguely appropriate. Sure, the vintage synths are here, but this lot also have the sense of speedy lunacy that old ravers like The KLF had in spades. Thus, Kingdom of Fear is an unhinged, irresponsible and wired record that sledges you like Mr Blonde with an 808, and leaves faux-edgy, pedestrian Virgin Radio nonsense like The Klaxons for dead.
